(Introduction and Interview)
actually / well / I guess / I think
•Generally, I prefer X to Y.
•I don't really like / I'm not really fond of …
•I love / I can't stand …
specifically / particularly / especially / in fact
because / so / and / but / or ...
What do you like to do in your free time?
Actually, a lot of things. I think I'm someone who likes variety in everyday life, so I just go out, check out a new place, try different activities or just see my friends. In fact, I try to keep busy on my days off and so very rarely stay at home.
(Actually, a lot of things.)。
(I think I'm someone who likes variety in everyday life)。
:使用具體例子做進一步延伸(so I just go out, check out a new place, try different activities or just see my friends. In fact, I try to keep busy on my days off and so very rarely stay at home.)。
Do you prefer to read e-books or paper books?
Generally, I prefer physical or hard copies because I like the feel of the book being in my hand. This is especially because I use my phone daily for a lot of things, I would like to change up my routine every once in a while. So a hard copy would feel like it's a welcome change from my daily routine.
(Individual long term)
|
Describe a sporting event that you have been to.
You should say:
-
what it was
-
why you went there
-
what you saw exactly
and explain why you enjoyed or didn't enjoy it.
|
• OK then, I want to talk about …
• Let me see, I'd like to talk about …
•OK, I'm going to tell you about …
• Right, I'd like to tell you about …
• The reason (I don't like) … is that …
•One of the reasons is that …
• What I like/dislike … is …
• … because …
OK, let's see. I want to tell you about the time I went to see my boyfriend take part in a swimming competition. It was part of a charity event – you know, making money for good causes. Anyway, why did I go? Well, I wanted to support him, to shout and cheer: it was his first big competition, and he was feeling a little bit, er … nervous. So, it was the first time I had been to such an event. I had seen it on TV before of course, but when I saw it in real life it was very exciting indeed! I saw many different styles – freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, and butterfly. It was fantastic, you know? My boyfriend was in the breaststroke competition and the freestyle. He was very slow in the freestyle, but he won the breaststroke competition! I enjoyed the event a lot because it was very exciting and I felt very proud of my boyfriend.
(Two-way discussion)
-
Do you think that schools should use more technology to help children learn?
-
Some people say that people helped others more in the past than they do now. Do you agree or disagree?
-
How do you think the family will change in the future?
• In my opinion ...
•Personally, I think ...
• I strongly believe that ...
• I tend to agree ...
• I don't really agree / think that ...
• I completely agree / disagree that ...
• I'm not sure about that ...
• may / maybe / perhaps
• It's likely / possible that ...
•That's an interesting question. I haven't thought about that before.
• Mmm, let me think about that for a moment.
Do you think that schools should use more technology to help children learn?
Yes, definitely. I think there are many benefits of using technology in the classroom. When technology is integrated into lessons, students are generally more interested in the subjects they are studying. This is because technology provides different opportunities to make learning more enjoyable in terms of teaching the same things in new ways, such as taking students on virtual field trips and using online learning resources. What is more, technology can encourage more active participation in the learning process, which in my opinion is very hard to achieve through a traditional lecture environment. For example, my cousin's class used online games to get students to solve math problems and develop their analytical skills. My cousin said the games were fun and everyone was actively engaged.
問題:Some people say that people helped others more in the past than they do now. Do you agree or disagree?
Well, I tend to disagree. When it comes to my parents' generation I think they are quite skeptical about helping other people in the community, but my generation is regularly doing things to improve it, such as volunteering for various environmental and charitable organizations. Today, young people are actively encouraged to help out in the community, and I don't think this happened very often in the past.
問題:How do you think the family will change in the future?
That's an interesting question. I haven't thought about that before. But, well, in the future, I think families will continue to become smaller, and more people may choose to live independently. And, with technological advancements, virtual communication perhaps will replace traditional family gatherings to some extent. Additionally, the concept of family will probably become more flexible, and most people will likely have an open attitude toward ideas like single-parent families, same-sex couples raising children, or even friends living together as a form of chosen family. However, despite these changes, I believe emotional connections and the need for family support will always remain essential in people's lives.
