我們用look表示「專心注意看」一件事。如果後面有受詞的話，需要用look at。

Watch持續注意看

如果是在電影院看電影，用see。如果是在電視上看電影，用watch。

Look for 尋找
Look for表示尋找東西，經常用於挑選禮物送給他人，或者找不到某個東西時。

如果需要朋友在你出國玩的時候照顧你的寵物，用look after就對了。也可以說take care of。

Look up 好轉| 查閱
當不及物動詞片語時，look up表示「情況好轉」，意思與improve相同。

Look down on sb. 看不起某人
與look up to sb. 的意思相反。表示「輕蔑」某人。

Ahead表示「前面」，所以look ahead表示「展望未來」或「作長遠打算」。
