一、Judge
1. 表示「判斷」
Judge 表示「判斷」時,指根據資訊考慮之後,我們所給的意見或決定。讓我們來看看judge的用法與例句:

We should never judge people by their looks.
(我們絕不應該以外表來評斷別人。)
Amy is not very good at judging distances.
(Amy不太擅長估算距離。)
•judge + 名詞子句

•decide + between
It was difficult to decide between the two candidates.

2. 表示「導致…結果」
• Decide的另一個意思是「決定」或「導致…結果」,後面直接加名詞。
例句:
The weather decided the outcome of the soccer match.
(天氣狀況決定了那場網球賽的結果。)
The result of the election could decide the future of the country.
(選舉的結果可能會決定國家的未來。)
三、Determine
1. 表示強烈的「決定」,跟decide的上述兩個意思接近,不過語氣比較正式與強烈。

• The tests will help the doctors determine what treatment to use.
(這些檢查將幫助醫生決定使用哪種治療方法。)
• Don determined that one day he would be an actor.
(Don決心將來當演員。)

2. 表示「判定」,描述經過調查後根據事實所做的判斷,與judge的意思接近,不過較為正式,通常用於書面或正式場合。

四、Assess

五、Re-evaluate
在evaluate前面加上表示「再次」(again)的字首re-,當然就表示「重新評估」了。Re-evaluate也可以跟reassess互換使用。
